Thousands unite for Miral Pink Run on Yas Island
Abu Dhabi hosts over 1,000 participants for breast cancer awareness
ABU DHABI: More than 1,000 runners gathered on Yas Island at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi for the inaugural Miral Pink Run, held in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The event, organised by Miral in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, aimed to promote awareness of breast cancer, stress the importance of early detection and prevention, and celebrate the strength of those affected by the disease.
The run marked a community-first initiative, part of Miral's ongoing efforts to foster wellness and social responsibility across Abu Dhabi.
Miral, a leader in immersive destination experiences, partnered with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council to bring this meaningful event to the public, reinforcing its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral, inaugurated the race and joined participants on the course, demonstrating their personal support for the cause.

Who participated?
Participants of all ages and fitness levels took part in 1 km, 3 km, and 5 km races, cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd. The event featured finisher medals, post-race refreshments, and live entertainment, fostering a vibrant and supportive atmosphere for runners and spectators alike.
Talal Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Events Sector at Abu Dhabi Sports Council, highlighted the importance of initiatives like the Miral Pink Run. “This event not only raises awareness but encourages community participation in sport to enhance public health and prevent many diseases. Such events play a major role in strengthening social ties, reflecting the spirit of cooperation and solidarity when faced with health-related challenges,” he remarked.
